Quaint Town within the Large Metropolis

This beautiful, tree-lined suburban enclave is the perfect blend of small town feel in a metropolitan area. With only 7,500 residents across 1.5 square miles, Glen Ridge's quaint and quiet streets provide a perfect backdrop for century-old Queen Anne, Tudor and Colonial homes. The town is also well known for its 667 gaslights that line each street.

Surrounded by the larger communities of Montclair and Bloomfield, Glen Ridge is almost entirely residential. It has it own post office, library and restaurant, but residents find most of their amenities, shops and restaurants in Montclair's historic downtown or the other surrounding towns.

Glen Ridge is home to several active organizations, including the Women's Club and Kiwanis Club, as well as the Glen Ridge Country Club. And residents are just a half-block away from the very popular Brookdale Park (located across Montclair and Bloomfield), which features walking/running trails, playgrounds, tennis courts and extensive lawns.

The median house price in Glen Ridge during 2015 was $620,000 (per Garden State MLS).
